when playing...sweaty palms

ok, i just came from a this gig i got (i get to play every saturday and sunday from now on ) and theres a slight problem, my palms got so sweaty today it made it hard to do a good job as far as technique goes. Has this happened to you?
i also noticed Steve Vai on the G3 DVD in the middle of one song they close up on his face and he's drenched in sweat AND he doesnt use any wrist sweatbands...so what does he do??? how do i come over this problem.

Not sure there is a way of overcoming this problem really. Some people perspire more than others. I remember watching a local band about 2 years ago where their bassist was literally steaming!

You could dip yourself in wax before your gigs
