Re: WorkShopLive.com

I registered got 6 days free on the site, tried a couple of lessons, they were good. Not as a replacement to a teacher but as an add-on.

Got some great theory & popular/classic solos in there.

Cheers!!

Re: WorkShopLive.com

Ahbijeet, I teach for NGW and am currently finishing up an instructional book for them to be released in the summer.. I go in April to record the book's cd and to film so Workshop Live! sessions. For anyone wanting to try DYI style lessons..these are great. There's a thing in the software that will track your lessons and let you recall them..it'll also keep you from accidently taking the same lesson twice. Also these lateral movement during the course of intruction.. so say you're taking sessions from one guys and you get to a point where his/her instruction explanations don't quite click.. it'll always offer the same topic from more than one teacher..you can slide over and see how the other instructor teaches the same topic.. also it takes into consideration whether you want more visual explanations or more descriptive verbal instruction and there's printable tab and jam tracks available for the styles and genres at different varying levels.
I got an e-mail this past week saying that they're starting a new "pay as you go" program, that way you won't have to sign on for a year commitment unless you want to.
Hopes this helped some.
Kev

Re: WorkShopLive.com

Thanks Kev,

Apart from a few lessons initially, I've been learning on my own & have fallen into the usual pitfalls of irregular practice, no visible results, loads of frustration and have given up playing too many times to recall.

Anyways the point to all this is that I've recently started taking classes & just fumbled on the WorkShopLive site, I am shocked by the quality of lessons there, it's almost like having your own teacher. I learned a few things & Just signed up for the quater plan.

Highly recommended.
