Jemfest Gear - who's bringing what?

Okay... before I said that I was going to bring my two Legacy half-stacks...

Well, since I'm selling them, that won't be an option, but, I plan to bring my Cruise head and Peavey 4x12. *

What else is needed? *Is anyone bringing a bass amp? *I can surely help there.

Stryder is committed to bringing most of what is needed. * But... if you have better stuff and you wanna bring it along, be our guest. *

At present, we are slated to bring the following:

P.A. :

Mackie 1604VLZPro - 16 channel board
16 channel snake
(not sure on power amps...)
Alesis MIDIVerb 4
BBE processor
couple of compressors...
300 W Monitor amp
(2) Peavey International 115 P.A. tops (15" & horn)
P.A. bottoms & monitors will be rented locally in FL.
Lots of mics... mostly Peavey and Shure stuff.

Drums:

Alesis D4 for kick drum & effects triggers
Slingerland drum kit (probably vintage, but I don't know anything about it...) *Kick drum, 4 or 5 mounted toms, floor tom, double-bass pedal, more cymbal stands than you can count...

It is requested that drummers provide their own sticks, cymbals, snares & kick pedals (most drummers prefer their own stuff, anyhow...) but if that's not possible due to flying commercial aircraft, our stuff is available.

Bass:

EITHER - bass monitor amp for musicians on stage (basically a solid-state amp w/ 15" speaker w/ bass run direct to board) *-OR- *a Peavey Firebass 300 head w/ 4x10 cabinet. *This is our old bass player's rig, but it's probably available to us, and it sounds fantastic.

Guitar stuff I'm bringing:

5150 head
Pod or Pod Pro thru a Peavey Classic 50/50 poweramp
5150 slant cab
1x12 slant monitor cabinet w/ 5150 speaker in it.
RG-560
RG-2027
RG-7620
RG-V

I could have missed some stuff...

As I previously stated, ALL OF OUR EQUIPMENT is for JEMFEST USE. *If somebody needs something and we brought it, they are welcome to use it.

Word to the wise - My 6-strings are tuned to D. *7's are tuned standard. *You're welcome to play them, but I ain't retuning.

Many of the bands such as Stryder have generously offered their equipment for Jemfest use. *We thank you. *Last year, most of Jemfest's costs were in the equipment rental. *Jemfest will rent equipment for the bands if request and any last minute equipment that we might need. *The bottom line is we need to keep our operating costs down so MANF can bring in more money. *So far, JF2K1 will cost Jemfest organizers about 70% less than last year - due to generous donations and equipment assistance from attendees and performers. *We must also thank Kevan for scoring an awesome deal with the Holiday Inn.

The organizers have been working on the registration page which, according to Bill, should be ready on-line by the end of the month. *We will have a section where the registeree may list the equipment they're bringing. *This will be available for public view.

We'll keep you posted as more info becomes available.

Thanks,
Gabe

Okay, I know we'll be able to see what guitars people are bringing on the Jemfest site, but the only thing that gets me more excited than messing around with my own guitars is the anticipation of messing around with other peoples' guitars, so the question is...

What guitars are people thinking about bringing?

Although there's several months to sort it all out, I'd rather see a wider variety of models than 50 UV777BK's (which are, nonetheless, very sweet rides).

Of course, my response depends on whether I'm driving or flying to Orlando--If I fly, I will likely only bring one guitar (probaby the RG-ART); if I drive, I'll load up the car until the suspension's draggin' (read: RG-ART, JPM90, RG7CTVV, maybe the RG6CST or RG1880 for good measure).

So, don't be shy... share the scoop! What are all of y'all bringing?

Every year we've had a good amount of guitars. *A few dupes, but not too many. *With the help of Rich Pike, Mark Dawson, and Steve Vai, we had some VERY unique guitars last year. *Some of which are priceless and one-of-a-kind. *Just check out the Jemfest.com website and you'll see.

No one has ever really said 'oh, there's another VWH!!!' or anything like that. *EVERY guitar is treated unique and personal and each and every guitar get's their own 'ooh's and ahh's'.

The more guitars the better. *Bring what you can and show it off!

When Bill's done with the Donations Page, there will be a section listing which guitar(s) that person is bringing to JF2001. *It'll be much like the registration page from last year.

I'm sorry I didn't post Ryan's equipment list earlier. *My bad. *Stryder, the other artists, and a few attendees have saved us BIG BUCKS this year in regards to equipment rental. *Hopefully, I won't lose my nice cord this year. *:-)

As a preview to the Donations/Gear List page, i'll be bringing the following:
•J-Custom RG-ART
•J-Custom RG-GEAR
•J-Custom RG-ARCH
•J-Custom RG-7-CST
•JEM77FP-DN (double neck)
•JEM10
•JEM77FP
•UV777PBK
•Belshe Custom Tele w/Novak neck
•TUNE fretless bass
•Cruise Audio MQ4 2x12 tube amp
•GSP-2101 Artist
•Shure Wireless
•Korg GT-1 tuner
•(2) amp stands
•Misc. elec. and other cables
(List subject to change, but I'll notify y'all. LOL)

The only two nutjobs I have to worry about are those from NJ. *:-)

Besides, I thought one of those nutjobs wanted to ride down with me....isn't that right GLEN?!?!? *LOL

Potential travel vehicle:

Don't worry- I'll be shipping most of it down there. *(since I work for the shipping company, *I get a decent discount- $0.00/lb.) *

Hmm... I'm still working on figuring out how I'm gonna fit half a dozen guitars, 2 amps, other misc. gear, and 3 travel companions into my car...

Anybody have a shoehorn I can borrow?

Now that Jay is abandoning his Legacy’s, is anyone bringing one? Andy? You comin’?

If I can figure out a way so safely check my Legacy head through airport “thrash” Luggage, I’ll bring it.
