lol! Thanks.. I have zero theory knowledge so I feel pretty inadequate hanging out with guys like that.. I mean, I know the pentatonics up and down the board, and I can rip on natural and harmonic minors, and I can play dorian decently too, but I'd just look terrible next to the likes of
Eric Sands.
I also live in a relatively small city compared to many of the places you guys jam at in jemfest, etc., so there are very very few people who I can jam with. I've only met one other person in an age group even close to mine here who's remotely interested in similar music to me, and other than him, most players under 20 years of age here just want to play nu-metal garbage on a detuned 7 string and never even touch the top 4 strings.. Grr..
Do you think I'd benefit from Jemfest? Being a minor, it's a little awkward for me to go to something like that.
