I had a mate taking loads of photos for me, though they will mostly be just of my set. I'll give you a shout when they're available though. :-)

can I just say the biggest thanks to simon, pete, adrian and anyone else who was involved in organising jemfest uk 2003. it was superb, and I had an awesome day.
I'm in too much of a rush right now to write a proper review of the day but suffice to say that everyone rocked!
oh, and a quick hi to paul simpson, mark mcguigan and pablo mccrone who also made it to gossips after the gig!
cheers,

OK Here's my review
Arrived at about 1 o'clock - greeted by Ade and introduced myself. Proceeded with unpacking my stuff (guitar and video stuff). Took a load of photos of the very nice guitars (Rob Balducci and the 'middle DNA' were definate faves) and mingled a bit (not that I knew anyone ;-) ).
Set up the video stuff (thanks for the audio feed from Pete) - definately need to record the audio separately next year - easy to sync on the computer.
Then the bands started up:
Alan Lennon - things off to a good start - great set and very accomplished - hey Alan play a Jeff Beck cover next time (after out conversation ;-) )
Stefan Lindholm - wild guitar but too many notes for me (well in too short a time!) - I got a headache after about 10 mins - too intense - each to their own
Ever Rain - Now, I really enjoyed them - great vocalist and awesome guitar - any CDs available / website?
Cereal Killer - Hurray - fun band!!!! Refreshing to hear lots of songs - great fun
Wipeout - good set - great guitarists - mmmmh, now that's a lot of kit in that band
Clive Murray - Great - really enjoyed the set - some cool covers (especially the early Vai)
Tony Hernando - Another great set - good FTLOG cover too - disappointing he was playing to a
backing track
though
Rob Balducci - kick ass band - some great
guitar playing
- whammy pedal in full effect - regret not buying the CD now I've watched the footage again
Then of course the Jam
Black Crowes - Too Hot To Handle (I think it's called)- lots of fun
ZZ Top - La Grange - hey I got up for this one - note to self - change to C half way through - or you'll sound like arse ;-(
So highlights
Guitars
Jem cake
Ever Rain
Rob Balducci
And of course the raffle (I won three things!!!!)
Thanks to the bands and organisers for making it such an enjoyable day.

At last I'm back home!!
Well what can I say, Jemfest rocked!
Great big 'Rock is back!' thankyou to Simon and Pete and Co. for putting on a fantastic event. From start to finish I was thoroughally entertained, moved and at times scared by the performing artists.
Was also nice to stroll through the gallery and see at close quarters some trully beautiful guitars.
And yes Gossips was fun
.
I too have a silly amount of video ( with the occasional silhouette of a figure standing in front of the camera
) and some photos which I'll try and get online asap.
Cheers
Mark.

Hi everyone!
Firstly, a huge thanks to Simon for giving me and the guys from everRain a chance to play. Had a fantastic weekend and met some great people!
Secondly, anyone interested in a CD (either the instrumental stuff or the progressive stuff we played) e-mail me at
mark@gibson3748.freeserve.co.uk
.
Thirdly, we're looking for a permanent singer for the band. A huge thanks to Tom for helping us out on vocals! Again, any interest, please e-mail me!
Once again, thanks to everyone involved and hope to see you in the future!

Jerry,
The link doesn't seem to be active between pictures and experiences or am I missing something?

Here's another clip - this time Ever Rain - great track
http://www.haydn.mowbray.btinternet.co.uk/EverRain.rm
BTW - the link below hosts alternatives to real and quicktime if you don't want to install them - they play everything through an old version of media player
http://www.klitesite.com/
Can someone take a copy of the two vids and put them on the Jemfest site so that I can delete and them upload some more.
Cheers,
Haydn
