Met some great people this year though!! Dex, SalemB, Markmcg (??) and had a great time! also got to catch up with some great folks I met before.
P.S paul you must show me how to play gilbert riffs at full pace flawlessly after 7 pints!!!!!

I've finished rendering all of the videos from the weekend. They're all done as mpeg2 format which will play in media player(with the correct codecs) or PowerDVD or whatever the equivalent MAC players are).
If any of the bands want copies drop me a message with your addresses and I'll mail a DVD of each (1 per band) to you (in computer format so you can do what you like with it).
I'm not worried about payment (DVDrs are only 50p each!!!) but you can send me a CD of your band by return of post ;-)
For those of you that played to a
backing track
, it wasn't fed on the audio feed from the desk for my video so the performance is a bit 'disembodied guitar'.
Cheers,
Haydn

If I recall it was a custom RG previously owned by Jan Cyrka given to Cornford.
Cheers
Mark.

We didn't have any. Sadly. If my (failing, rapidly) memory serves me correctly we had a Jem10 at Jemfest UK in 2001 ( I think from Ireland!) . It was our only one to date. There are quite a few out there and actually seeing a Jem-10 in the flesh is something else. They are overwhelmingly... overwhelming! The 'etched' scratchplate, the edge binding... the whole package is something else - Nice!
Talking about what we did and didn't have in the gallery.....
No Regular Florals! (Simons BFP aside!) In previous years there have been a smattering of these and the cool thing about a room _full_ of florals are the per-instrument variations.
A JS! Yay! Jemfest Uk broke it's JS cherry this year. Long overdue to my mind and we did it in stlye... a bona-fide
Joe Satriani
JS! Not just one JS mind, oh-no but we had a JS 90th as well.
Plenty of Swirls. More than ever before. JerryE has a great snap on his website of a handful of swirls at Jemfest Uk this year of varying pedigrees. Great stuff.

It was. See that little white piece of paper stacked up against the guitar? Each year I ask every owner fill in a teensy liittle 'guitar biography' for each entry in the gallery. This helps explain a little about the guitar, it's history, where it came from, how the owner came by it, if it's had any mods it etc. etc.
If I remember correctly... this guitar looked very much like a VWH neck and an RG body with a DBK vibe! I
love
these kind of hybrids with a bit of history - it's
Jemfest magic.
I believe it belongs to Jan Cyrka and has been used for recording projects by
Steve Vai
and Joe Satriani.
All of those little biogs will have been collected on the night and we can always find out a little more from the exhibitor (in this case Paul Cornford of Cornford amps) if you need more info.

Jem 10s ARE beautiful I agree, especially since I have one!
Unfortunately I stayed over at someone's house Friday night, and only got three hours sleep. So by the time I could've gone back to my place and picked up the axe and then trekked back to Jemfest, I would've been far too late and/or entirely deaded.
Part of me also assumed that there would be lots of every kinda Jem there, including 10s. Interesting to hear what was actually present.
btw, if there were any spare jems left over at the end, please forward them to me. They're mine, honest.
See you next time! No doubt 800+ of us will bring Jem 10s.

probably my only disapointment was the lack of guitars in the gallery. Adrian works hard each year at this, but the numbers have fallen steadily over the past three years.
i brought 3, simon brought 4 i think and of course there were the guitars brought by cornford amps. but its a shame that we only had mid twenties total on show for most of the day.
come on pull them out for next year.
and yes i meen your guitars
