Or would noone be interested in seeing a beaten up 1990 777VBK..?

I'm currently fearing turning up and having to play something, and everyone laughing as my fat fingers refuse to cooperate, and then they'll laugh and mock me for owning a jem and not being able to sweep pick properly!
by all means bring the VBK-we didnt have one of these last year or in 2001

as for playing-dont worry about it

I may have a jem or two but the only sweep picking I have every done is when I have been in a toy shop looking at hand puppets!

well we're not all steve vai.
you wont be asked to play,
your guitar will ot be the most beat up (BBQ)
you will be very welcome,
you will have a great time and meet other people with the same interest.
what to expect.
well its a room with a stage to the left and the guitar gallery to the right and a bar right in front of you

seriously, come along and enjoy. we don't bite (although i have my doubt's about Clive)

I don't bite while sober. definitely. afterwards at gossips, anything goes, but until then you're safe.

oh and the BBQ isn't coming this year - I need to bring a few specific guitars and there's only so much room in the car!

the LNG's coming though.

It doesn't look like i can attend , I may be holed up in the arse end of nowhere (a place even worse than Ipswich)

Everyone should go along, it's a great laugh and you get to talk about guitars incessantly without people making their excuses and leaving, oh, and see s0ome great guitar playing. And don't worry, I'm **** but I've gone along the past few years anyway

Ah, how i long for those soft ballards.
saw CoF at the astoria just after danny sacked the whole band. it was the first and last outing of my now infamous rubber shirt (oh er kinky or what). thing is it was a hot gig, and this drop dead goth girl realy liked the feel of it........ finished the gig, jumped on the train sweaty under the rubber(without the girl i hasten to add) got off in winchester to find about a foot of snow. i tell you one thing, rubber is not designed for arctic conditions.

burrrrrr

Ok I've got my Ebay Jem

I've been trying to go through the setup procedures for setting the bridge height/truss rod etc but I haven't got the right tool for truss rod adjustment, and I'd only be guessing how to set it anyway..
so..
What are the chances that some kind soul at Jemfest would have a look at my guitar and give me some pointers as to what needs doing? I wouldn't expect anyone to set everything up for me (though I'd be willing to pay them if they would ) but any tips would be great, I'll happily buy beer in return

if you go to http://www.ibanezguitars.co.uk then you can buy a ibanez tool set that should include everything you need. If it doesn't appear on the site, then give them a ring. You're bound to need the tools again in the future.

Cheers, I couldn't see it on the site (just the basic Allen Key set) so I've sent a mail. Now I just need to learn to use it all
