Jemfest Video's soon to Return!

Finally - I've finished moving! *Hee Haw! *Now the unpacking has completed 50% which means I have a 50% chance of finding my video capture card. *Guess what? *I found it! *That's good news for folks wanting to check out vids from 1999 and 2000. *That is - If can get the card installed and working tonight, I'll have Kevan link them to the site. *These will be all new videos.

Hopefully by the weekend we'll have some uploads! *This is assuming Time Warner actually makes it to my house tomorrow to fix the cut cable modem line!

I'll post in this topic when I get the first vid up!

I did review most of the tape from last year. *I wish I had a tripod! *I'll make sure I bring one this year. * I had very little time to hold the camera and get good shots. *The camera was sitting on a table with an ashtray pointing it up towards the stage. *I ran out of battery and didn't get the whole set. *

Anyway, you and Rob sounded great! *You'll see when I get the clips on-line.

Please everyone! *If you are coming to Jemfest feel free to bring your cameras! *Digital, tape, whatever! *We need video footage! *I have a new digital camera on the way which will blow the doors of the pics from last year! *We will be posting these pics as they are unloaded from the memory cards. *You'll be able to see what's happening even if the webcam doesn't work out.

Got the capture card installed and working! *Good news is I have the clips on my system! *About 300 megs worth just from last year. *Bad news is I need to convert them to mpg format rather than avi. *Avi is just way too big! *We don't have that kind of space on Jemfest.com.

Soooo... clips should be there soon!

What Mpeg compression you gonna use?
I highly recommend Divx;-) FAST Motion. It´s the one everybody uses to Ripp of DVDs and it works very great

If anybody can get me NTSC copies of the jemfest videos I can convert them to PAL (I have some gear and gizmos) for the european list members (including myself!).

Video conversion has completed, now I need to fix my home network to transfer files over to my Internet machine. *

I'm having some volume level issues with my capture card, but that's about it. *Make sure you can crank your speakers/headphones - especially during the 'Q&A' videos.

I'll work on the Jemfest 99 videos this weekend!

Tonight's the night! *I'll get at least a few up there!
