NOTE: Proper sound gear is still a topic that's "up in the air". Suggestions and donations are welcome.

With help we managed to have sufficient gear last year, but I didn't make it to Orlando. This year I'll be there. I quit my job, so I have some time on my hands.

Bob,

Would love to help out on the gear front - unfortunately the chances of getting it shipped to the US with me for the few days could be problematical. If, nearer the time you are short on some smaller stuff (mics etc) then let me know and I will see what i can bring without getting lynched by airport security.

Other the than that, I can help you out with whatever needs doing - I am going to be in Orlando for a few days either side of the actual dates and so I'm fine to help out with setups etc.

Cheers
Pete

Just wanted to let everyone know the the discounted hotel room rate available at $69 a night for a 'king' sized room with up to 5 people per room. This is the Hotel where the event is taking place. Reserve your room now! We have limited Jemfest rate rooms.

Here's the online link for reservations:

http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/...mcoap&_GPC=JEM

Here's the phone number if you want to call in the reservation:

Hotel is the Holiday Inn Select at the Orlando International Airport

Hope to see you there.

Please note the price drop to $69 for a Jemfest hotel room! Rooms can occupy 5 people. Thanks to Kevan for getting us this rate.

So is it a case of some of us book rooms and everyone piles in and shares the cost?

Sure! We encourge people to 'room up' with others and share costs. We have a quota of rooms to fill with our contract, however. I doubt we'll have any problems filling it since it's less than last year. Kevan was able to get us a good contract this year.
