ok, so now when i see things like this i can only hear them saying...

He is not the Nevermore guitarist, but is filling in for steve smyth. He is in the band called Jag Panzer.

Yeah, I learned that too when I checked out his homepage. He seems to quite an accomplished classical guitarist too.

Well I don't care who he plays for - that was neat

Not to hijack the thread, but would someone explain what he was talking about with the 6-5-1? It was Em so was he playing the arpeggios corresponding to the degrees? (i.e. 6 Cmaj, 5 Bmaj, 1 Em)

Thats the chord progression he was playing with the arpeggios (notes of the chord played seperately) in the key of E (harmonic) minor. ( Em, F#m, G, Am, Bm, C, D and Em). VI-V-I would make C, Bm and Em.

He played it with a harmonic minor scale though, because of the B major scale with the major 3 (D sharp) instead of the minor 3 (D).
If the dude played a B minor chord, it would be all in E minor

Chris Broderick can really play! Excellent video!

I saw Nevermore at Wacken last week. He certainly is a good guitarist. Tight as hell band too.
