Yeah, I learned that too when I checked out his homepage. He seems to quite an accomplished classical guitarist too.

Re: 7 string madness!!!!!!!!
Well I don't care who he plays for - that was neat
Not to hijack the thread, but would someone explain what he was talking about with the 6-5-1? It was Em so was he playing the arpeggios corresponding to the degrees? (i.e. 6 Cmaj, 5 Bmaj, 1 Em)

Thats the
chord progression
he was playing with the arpeggios (notes of the chord played seperately) in the key of E (harmonic) minor. ( Em, F#m, G, Am, Bm, C, D and Em). VI-V-I would make C, Bm and Em.
He played it with a
harmonic minor scale
though, because of the B major scale with the major 3 (D sharp) instead of the minor 3 (D).
If the dude played a B minor chord, it would be all in E minor
Chris Broderick can really play! Excellent video!

Re: 7 string madness!!!!!!!!
I saw Nevermore at Wacken last week. He certainly is a good guitarist. Tight as hell band too.
