A G3-ish jam of mine, I'd like to share

Hey guys!!

I haven't posted in a while...but I thought I'd share a track I just did...

I did this G3-ish track over a backing I got from a friend, and I thought I'd share it...

I only played the solo work on this, the backing track didn't need any extra rhythm tracking...

...and it was quite fun to play over...!!

Sjones-G3-like-jam

I hope you enjoy it!

Peace,

Scott

Wow man, i really love your playing, reminds me a lot of vai, and fredrick thordenthal's soloing, but your definetly in a different element...reminds me of pat metheny in a way. You really have great control over the instrument, technically and in terms of feel/touch/note choice ect.

I'm definetly going to pick up your CD after my next paycheck...i work in a guitar shop and need to spend some of my $$$ on lessons each week, but i manage to grad albumns when I can

-Andrew

PS: What sorts of gear did you use to record the track...great tone!

Wow, thanks man!!!

You heard Metheny in this one? That is incredibly cool!!! Metheny is one of my BIGGEST influences, next to Scott Henderson and Michael Landau...

(Truth be known, I NEVER play like this, but did it on a whim, to see if I could.....I'm more of a jazz guy, a fusion player)

....THIS is how I normally play: Sjones-Brecker Fusion Jam

My gear on this one is an Ibanez FGM into a Fender Cyber Deluxe direct out, into an old Fender Twin...mic'd with SM57s

And the backing track was complete before I got a hold of it....the recording was done in Protools Free

I just something else since this one, and I'll post that later...

Anyway, thank you so much for listening!!! I really appreciate it!

Peace,

Scott Jones

Sounds awesome... the intro sounds a little Satriani-esk as well.
