Actual Talent!!!

Okay, I think that we can all agree on one thing here on Jemsite:

The music industry is SERIOUSLY lacking in raw talent nowadays. We are lucky that Joe Satriani and Steve Vai made it big! So many talented musicians' spots are being replaced by people who "rap" and by bands that some refer to as "emo". I mean, pretty much anyone who can strum four POWER CHORDS can get a record deal... That is, if they have luck, and if they LOOK the part. They don't even have to play the part!

Anyways, I am here to support and advertise my favorite band, straight out of Stockton, California:

DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR!

Okay, so the band consists of three members: AJ Gonzalez, Daniel Osborne, and Kenny Osborne. You won't believe the talent that this band has. It's just absolutely incredible. What happened to backround vocals, actual GUITAR SOLOS, and the use of harmonicas, mandolins, and trumpets (as well as the regular four instruments: bass, guitar, vocals, and drums)? Unfortunately, we aren't able to listen to the TWO BEST SONGS on the entire album (Red Hat and Shadows of Friends)... The guitar solos in there will seriously ASTOUND you. The music is swarming with talent.. The songwriting is SUPERB!

EMBARRASSMENT?!?! I thought they were awsome! You have a really good voice, you know that? I enjoyed them.

trust me, i've been working a LOT to improve them.. yeah...

umm, not to be pushy about the Delusions of Grandeur thing (DofG) but what did you think of their music.. like, as far as musically what you liked and maybe didn't like, too? i'm trying to help promote their CD, so.. yeah. haha

If Looks could kill is probably my favourite. Interesting little shreddy bit at the end. Tenesse River Blues has a really unusual sound to it but i like it. Overall, there song writing seems really good. I enjoy them! but im not in the position to buy one of there CD's considering where i live

Seriously, Loaded Gun is a very good song!
It's very energetic and professional sounding! It reminds me a bit of Joe Satriani! : )

not bad! at least they're in a band and doing something. me? i'm studying for a degree so anything other than my sunday night jam is out of the question and i don't get my jem until i graduate. it's been locked away to give me an incentive to pass. boo hoo!!
