Anton,
That begs the question; makes you sick/sounds sick to you, or something the opposite?
=]
sry777,
I'm not in a band; I'm just practising at home currently.

I really like it
I'm amazed by your sound, especially as there's a pod behind it.
Any way to know the used preset?
btw, what
neck pickup
do you have?

Thanks. =]
The preset wasn't a preset, it was something I dialed up myself - I actually forget off-hand what it was. Something with moderate gain - might be the Fender Blackface model... I'd have to check that.
It was actually a sound I normally use through power-amp/speakers, but for direct, all I did was quickly dial up a cab emulation that sounded decent, and went for it.
I thought some might be surprised to find this was done using a POD - they get a bad rap sometimes.
My neck pickup is the stock DiMarzio New7 that's in the RG7-620 models. The tonal variations were made by pickup selections and variations in the guitar's volume.

I hate Line6 you know, hehe!!
I just can't stand that particular "breath" or "grain" that you can't really remove whatever you do. And I'm always impressed when someone sounds great using them for distorted/lead sounds. You are the second one that impresses me. The first one being Chris Brooks!
Michael Romeo
and
Ron Thal
should really take lessons with both of you cos these guys can't tweak to save their lives.
You almost make me want to get a red bean!

That's high praise - thank-you.
Well, it's good to see that there've been some examples of times that a POD has caught your attention - there's a lot there, especially for the deep tweaker...

i'm seriously considering getting myself a pod. do you think the xt is worth the extra money for it?

Thank-you...
I haven't had the chance to sit down with a POD-XT, so I'm yet to hear for myself... however, if they have in fact improved on the POD 2.x further, /and/ added in the other modelling (pedal models, etc.) then I think it's going to be quite stellar. As it borrows from the Vetta, that bodes well for it.
I highly recommend doing something like renting one for a week, where you have plenty of time to dig into it. There's quite a bit more available from the front panel of the XT - with the POD 1.x/2.x there was plenty there, but hidden away from those who don't try hooking it up to their computer and going in with the deep editing interface.
It's ultimately going to be my next step - BUT, I'm also going to keep the POD 2.3 that I have, as well.
I've grown attached to it...

This impro makes me full of joy! You are very talented.

No, I hadn't heard it before, but I just loved the track itself; great dynamics, and a great
chord progression
that's unusual.
I've heard the song since I posted this, and I know what you mean about things going in the same direction - the chord progression almost 'demands' that resolution to CMajSUS4->CMaj...
Thank-you for your kind comments.

Thanks - I'm in the process of learning how to play this again now... =]
It was so off-the-cuff that it's got elements that are not 'normal' for me, so it's a bit of a challenge to actually learn what I played that day.
