An improv... (Sorry, Jeff...)
Okay, I'm going to try this - right click and save and whatnot. This is a one-take live improv (Aug 9/03) over the nice
backing track
that's out there for 'Cause We Ended As Lovers, a
Jeff Beck
(?) song that I don't know, as I haven't heard it before. But the track, cord progressions, are just too nice not to have some fun with.
The recording is a little on the quiet side, I think, so turn it up some.
The track

I liked it a lot! Very nice phrasing, precise fingering and a killer "crunch" tone.

Well, thank-you for your kind comments. I didn't expect so positive a response.
The equipment used; my RG7-620GN (Blaze Custom
bridge pickup
, disconnected tone control, high-pass filter capacitor removed, (prototype) handrest over LoPro7, re-shaped and Tung-oiled neck w/top 4
frets scalloped
- yes, I like to tinker =]) into a 30' Canare cable w/Switchcraft ends (I solder 'em all up myself) straight into my POD 2. POD straight into the recorder. That's it.
That, and a nice smattering of luck. =]
I did some other one-shot stuff that day, too; perhaps I'll post some more at a later date.
Thanks again.

Build up, good... Sound, good... Phrasing, good... Music, good... Technique, good... Feel, splendid... Mix, good...
Nothing quite wrong with this improvisation. Sounds very nice to me, I still need to hear the original though, the only closest version I have is LGMTs one from a little while ago. Keep on going, and we wanna hear your OWN stuff next time as well!!!
