Very cool, i absolutely loved andy timmon's tone, hated gilbert's tone, too bright and sustainless...thats my personal opinnion

Vai had the worst solo by far.

String or not, Andy can kick Pablos and Stevos @s$ anytime. He's out of this world.

Re: Andy Timmons feat Paul Gilbert feat Steve Vai

Did Steve snap his string before or after his solo? If he did before, that might be why he had to go all wobbly with the vibrato, or was it because of his whammyness that it snapped?

Or maybe he wanted an excuse to go back to EVO...

i didnt like vai's solo either, over use of the whammy bar garbage. I liked Andy Timmons solo the best and thats the first time i've heard him play heh.

Re: Andy Timmons feat Paul Gilbert feat Steve Vai

i must admit pauls solo in that set sounded very robotic, almost like he took some ov his video excercises and put them into the solo section of that song, all in all i still love paul but i think andy was more musical in the shared song.

i really dont think vai held a candle to what those guys did
