Aussie guitarist 40 notes per second fastest player in the world (Apparently)

Ok just stumbled on this video clip of an aussie guitarist promoting the guitar show in NSW.

They say he is the fastest guitarist in the world, and he was timed.
Who knows if thats true or not ?

but he does a solo at the end to some nice acoustic guitarist and totally butchers it by shredding over it.

Maybe its just me, but when its time to solo over a nice blues chord progression, shred doesn't come to mind.

Yeah i saw Jeremy Barnes at jemfest back in april and damn was he fast i think he must have over thousands of notes in his half hour on stage, you couldn't really see his hand move after a while he was moving so fast, if he's not the fastest i'd hate to see who is.

He sounds like crap. Just a bunch of noise. Theodore Ziras plays just as fast.

not that bad... but kinda out of place in that setting. Seems like he knows how to play "not-too-fast" though constantly seems to fall into the super speed playing.

aww,c'mon Folks, cut the dude some slack!!!
if a fella is on tv and being touted as the world's fastest guitarist, it's kinda silly to think he's gonna try and wow Ya w/ some Paul Kosoff,David Gilmore,or Joe Walsh licks!!!

I think I know someone who is the world's SLOWEST guitarist. He went two or three years in between picking notes on his guitar.

That was cool. There's a JS1000BP in the background, which was pretty cool to see.

True, he would have to play real fast, to prove his speed ability.

But my point is that he did that in the first part of the video. Then when he was asked to play together, he should have complimented the Acoustic guitarist. but all he did was ruin it. Just my opinion but he already proved his speed..

Maybe he should have got out a drill !!!!

p.s. thanks for deleting my double post I just don't know how that happened Jim

Hey, I didn't know we'd met.......!

Seriously though, who cares how fast someone can play, I'd rather listen to Dave Gilmour or Joe Walsh any day of the week!

I also saw him, at one gig where i went to see brett garsed...

he's fast... but you can only listen to that sort of speed for a few seconds before getting a headache... (my opinion anyway)...

but, i'm sure you need heaps of practice to get to that point. =)

Re: Aussie guitarist 40 notes per second fastest player in the world (Apparently)

haha
ok, hes fast, but he doesnt have a good tone the the jam is so unfit

anyway, the sydney guitar show is probably the most boring guitar show
all u see is endless fender and gibson guitars.........not even the quality of NAMM (from pics i see)

not to mention Tokyo Guitar Show
you can spend hours at ESP booth, they had crazy & out of minds guitars and whats more is, a live demo with luthiers making those crazy body shapes on wood blanks..
