"Better Meaning instrumental"

I just wrote a rough mix of the instrumental that I am starting..and I WANT OPINIONS...of the idea, effects, and mix. I think I will ended up changing the 2 other distortion guitars that you don't hear in the back. They're really thin and trebly.

The song is called better meaning

After 310 i have nothing written as of yet...

No responses or anything, COME ON!

I want an honest opinion...I'm 17 years old and am looking for critiquing of my playing so I can know what to change and learn a little tools of the trade for future reference in my musical career!

It sounds very boring to be honest.......

Sounds like you have been banging powerchords for way too long with too much distortion. About the mixing.....well....the volume of the other guitar parts isn't right but that's all. Mixing is only interesting if you have an interesting song that you would really like to let everybody hear. The mixingis just that little thing that makes a good song into a really great song.

You'd better concentrate on your playing. Make a more complicated and less boring song and then ask again. Because with all this distortion I have no idea what you should change in your guitar playing.

I really liked the riffs, but I think this should be a little more of a conventional song, with singing. I think it would be better then. You have some nice ideas. Turn the distortion way down, it'll sound better.

To be honest with you its not exactly what you call an instrumental it sounds like the backing for something mayb if you had some another guitar doing lead stuff over the well overly repeated guitar parts it all might change and one other thing there is WAY TOO MUCH DISTORTION.

I'm listening to it right now, sounds really cool! I love the pinch harmonics. Though it's a little too fuzzy, but that may just be my media player so I can't critique it.

Sounds like something from like, the Halo soundtrack or something like that. Really cool. A very heavy ambience to it.

At about 1:25 I would suggest having a melodic lead come in, just to kind of... kick the song up a notch, you know? Like, you can establish the rhythm, but it does need to go somewhere.

Other than that it's really cool! And I know a bunch of 17 year old guitar players, you're miles ahead of them. Not all of us, though...

Keep playing and practicing!

This is just totally a backing, I guess I gave the impression that it wasn't...I have much leads to write over this to give it's full flavor...otherwise yes...it's repetative and boring right now, but it won't be.
