Bumblefoot on Monkey's cover

I though some folks might be interested to hear this...

One of many songs I have done recently is a cheesy cover of The Monkey's song, "Valleri". Nothing special about that, but it's not just my reputation at stake here.

Bob Oakman - Guitars, Bass, Keys, Drums.
Ryan Rolando - Vocals.
Bumblefoot - Lead Guitar.

It's hard for me to pimp my music, because I am never happy with it, so please be gentle and don't blame Ron for my screw-ups. Find it for download on my music preview page, a few rows down, here...

Click To Site

Thanks for the listen and feel free to check out any other songs, like my most recent original tunes, "Reasons" and "I Love Maryanne".

Cool! I'm a "minor" Bbf fan, and him being on one of your tunes is a reason to buy your album! Never heard the song before, I think, but it was very nice. Also the guitarintro was splendid.

Re: Bumblefoot on Monkey's cover

I imagine a couple little lead breaks like that is pretty much a no-brainer for Ron. He just sent me the lead tracks and I inserted them into the session. I felt so honored.

I am surprised how many people never heard the original Monkey's version of the song. I guess that means I'm old.

All is well Bamm. The bus is not coming along too fast. I messed my back up real bad. Plus, I'm spending money on so many things. I think I'll get started on it again in a couple months.

Rob, Better grab the new re-mixed version of Be Good on the site.

I haven't been around here much. Too busy. Good to hear from you.

Re: Bumblefoot on Monkey's cover

Thanks guys! Back when I was a kid the Monkey's were charting. I thought some of their music was cheesy, but Valleri stood out and I have hummed it occasionally over the many years. Recording is so much fun, but sometimes, the writing part really slows things down. That's why I have done so many covers. Someone else does the writing. It's a no-brainer.

The style of the lead on the original song was beyond my capabilities, so I asked Ron. His gracious help completed the song.
