Re: Canon Rock cover

Very cool man, I did an arpeggiated arrangement of it a while ago. I play some of it in my video if you want to check it out.

Re: Canon Rock cover

Awesome, man. That is the exact same mic and mixer that I use. I replaced my soundcard with an Audiophile 192 and record with Acid 4.0 . Where do you place your mic, and how many guitar tracks do you usually do? I'm trying to experiment a little more with recording techniques. How loud is your amp usually? I've been recording with a solid state amp (with a tube screamer in front) at a low volume and I've been kinda cranking the mixer up.

I have a audigy 2 ZS in mine. I record using Audacity 3.0 beta. It's just one recorded track for this one, I'm not experienced at recording at all and this is my first time. I'm guessing most people take 2 tracks and pan it left and right.

I did exactly what you did with the amp and mixer though. Low volume, amplify through mixer. I put my mic around 10cm away from the amp pointing at the lower part of the grill. I had it up front but it sounded really muffled for some reason. I could really use some recording advice too. @@

Re: Canon Rock cover

Did you get the backing track straight from Jerry C? Wherever you got it from, you've done a great job there.
