Good job. Very close to the original tone, to my ears.
About as close as I've heard yet

What was your setup for this?

Sounds fantastic, great work and basically a dead on recreation of the original. Impressive to say the very least.

Wow-some!

Nice job dude!

The tone is killer! I thought it sounded exactly like the cd. Could you tell me what kind of equipment you are using, cause I really like the way it sounds. I also can't believe you can play that song. Good for you man!

Actually, I don't have a POD, but I'd be interested in the settings/models/etc that you used. Maybe I can get something close with my gear (I hope ).

This is kind of a general question I had about the POD. How exactly does it work? I realize that you can plug it direct into your computer, and then use recording software to record songs. But can you also plug it into your amp, kind of like you would with a stomp box? And how much of a difference would that make in the sound? I'm asking because I liked the sound that Hanban was getting so much that I checked out the Line 6 website, and am considering getting one of these suckers. But I'm more interested in using it in a live setting rather than recording with it. If someone could fill me in that would be grand. And Hanban, you should definately post those settings you used for FTLOG.

davester, i used SM-57 condenser - on axis position.

placed it about 30cm from the amp.

eddie, ofcourse you can plug your podXT into an amp. infact, i plug it into my fender twin reverb and the sound is great (ofcourse an all tube amp helps )

in the pod, you can choose whatever you want the pod to "work" with.
you have a "front of combo" setting, incase you want to plug it to your amp, you have studio and direct options.

ofcourse when you plug it direct, the pod uses its amp simulation so recording to your comp wont sound "direct", it will sound like a pro amp and mic were used. when you plug to the amp, the pod remodels all its effects so they will sound good on an actuall open-back amp.

you can use it live with your amps. just dont forget to order the floorborad with it, because when you play live you need fast switching , + the board gives you wah and volume control.

+ you have a whole bunch of pedal models to choose from , such as big muff Pi, MXR compressor, RAT, fuzz, some electro harmonix pedals and what not.

as for settings, ill post it in an hour or so, im not near the pod atm.
