Cover Song I'm Working On

I posted this at sevenstring.org already, but thought I'd pass it along here since I've posted things here before and gotten comments.

This is something I've been working on for a while. I may be adding another layer or two of guitars (my 7-string, since even though it'll be the same chords, it just sounds warmer and fatter) and re-doing the bass (not sure on that one yet). I know there's stuff that needs work (possibly vocals, but maybe I'm just insecure about that lol And I know the drums need work) but let me know what you think so far. I didn't realize how big of an influence Jeff Martin of The Tea Party had on me until I listened back to my vocals on this one

The vocals are okay, but is suited more to pop-rock (if that's the direction your going, then you're quite good). Overall, it left me a little bit cold. By the way, you seemed to have missed a solo. Smith did vocals and lead guitar, so maybe you can make a better version of the song's solo. Well my 2 sen.

I like it, the vocals fit IMO, I find the guitars a bit overpowering though. Cool cover nevertheless.

Squier Strat w/ DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge, running through various patches on my Line6 Flextone II (60-watt 1x12 combo). I think it's two tracks (left and right, recto and Insane) and then doubled an octave up (same config). I'll probably add another pair of tracks (not an octave up) using my 7-string (but not hitting the low-B) to fatten it up, because it has a warmer tone.

And yeah, I haven't done the solo yet.
