"Dance of the Bower"

Ok, basically...this is my first song completed and recorded. I've been playing on and off over the past 3 years - I'm eighteen. I just want opinions of this song.

http://myspace.com/chrisgilbertmusic

just hit the download link for "Dance of the Bower" and either open it from there or save it.

Otherwise go to: Soundclick http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...?bandID=169110

Re: "Dance of the Bower"

Hmmm...I know that Vai is a big influence, but I felt that I had my own twist on things that made it more of myself. I mean Vai does use alot of techniques that come from EVH and so on. That helps though.

I'll have to try and think things through more and make it my own I guess.

Was it the WHOLE ENTIRE song that reminded you of a Vai song? I hope not atleast.

Re: "Dance of the Bower"

Well thank you for the compliment. I'm putting together a collection of songs I've never finished and actually recorded and hoping to start something very original and complimenting to Instrumental Guitar music.

What part was it that reminded you of a Vai song? Because there is one part that I myself even picked out myself that sounds like Burning down the mountain...and that's sort of in the bridge part.
