wow...that brought me back. I wore out my copy of Skyscraper back when it was new (yes, i'm old). never knew they had a video for that one...

I was looking at the guitars on vai.com and the caption next to his LNG said it was used in the vid for that song. So i hunted and found it

That tour was fantastic. Diamond Dave in his boxing ring and flying round on his surfboard, Pure entertainment!!

That Vai guy was pretty good too

Right... I've got a 1527 with a Seymour Duncan 59 neck and JB bridge. What amp/pedal/both would pull that sort of tone from my guitar? I'm gonna buy a new amp within the next year ^^

I wouldn't fancy his chances of survival walking down the street wearing that outfit!! I know things were OTT then, but WTF....

Anyway....no-ones come up with more Vai playing LNG vids yet??

Cool vid and great tune. David Lee Roth's Skyscraper is a damn good album too. Thanks for posting, it's been a while since i've seen that!
