Re: Dragonforce

They do blow! I see so many on other forums talking about how great these guys are. Many of the "cloak and dagger" metal-loving guys on the Petrucci Forum talk about these guys like they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Well, I certainly didn't see that here. The one guy better lock himself in a room, with a metronome, and get working on those sweeps. A "little" sloppy? No. That was terrible! And the other moron...Mick Mars could pull off that *** little trick.

Of course, I am biased. I can't stomach more then 10 seconds of any of these repitative, uninventive, cheesy "We've come to slay the dragon" bands. Take your recycled Helloween rhythm's, Yngwie riffs, and poet shirts and disappear...for a long, long time.

Re: Dragonforce

Well i never really liked the band, but i didnt give a damn about them until someone said that they are the modern Cacophony. This is when i hated them. They are way too overrated and this video proves it. So i wanted to share since ive seen many fellow haters here

Re: Dragonforce

They sure sound good on the cd but they're probably the worst live band i've ever heard/seen. Guzzlin' the booze sure makes them good doesn't it, lol.

Re: Dragonforce

Well Dragonforce are not really my type of band but Herman used to show up at some UK jemjams and the boy can play.
True, next to people like Stefan Lindholm, Tony Hernando, Rob Balducci, Alan Lennon and Jamie and Darren Hurst (Jemfest UK '03) he wasn't shining that much but he can play nonetheless.

I'm sure some of the UK guys who've seen/heard Herman in a jam context will tell you the same thing, Herman can play a lot better than most people out there.
