Dutch guitarhero

A few days ago my uncle (also a guitarist) came by and we had a talk about Marcel Coenen, an amazing dutch guitarist. I said that recently there had been loads of clips of him on youtube. We sat down in my studio and watched like little children to toys to those clips

Anyway, here are some clips:

And one more with feeling:

Cool stuff right?

He's a "bum" for trying to stay sober? You sure are judgmental for someone who's got a few issues of his own. What's that saying about stones and a glass house?

We all know Van Halen is a great band with some fantastic songs and amazing guitarplaying.

Whatever Eddie van Halen does in his spare time, is his own bussiness and we probably all have opinions about it.

Lets get back on topic before this gets ugly. Thanks fellow jemsiters.

I saw Marcel Coenen with his band Speedica early 90's in a little place called Egmond. He played Greg Howe stuff and dead on Yngwie Malmsteen songs during that night. Some performences you don't just forget.

Yes. He playes in the band Sun Caged ( prog ala Dream Theater), Storm Rider ( a 80's metal cover band) and a Satriani cover band called Time Machine.

Marcel also had loads of video's at his site: http://www.marcelcoenen.com/

Cheers, Sam
