I just love the neo-classical licks Matthew Mills comes up. He reminds me of Chris Impellitteri in the late 80's. Very aggressive sounding and amazing speed.

okay so i missed rob marcello aswell, its looking like i might be a bit of a venus dimilo with all these guys getting past me! only the other day someone asked me if id been living under a rock, well i guess i have been.

Blimey! I think he likes Yngwie a little bit...

After initially being impressed by the sweep skills, I lost interest while watching, unfortunately. The sound is not very uplifting, it sounds negative, if you get what I mean? Sounds like someone died! Hehe. Really, it's a bit too serious sounding for me. He has skills, though, so it's a thumbs-up for the technique. I cannot help thinking he was beaten to the same post by Yngwie, many moons ago, so this, for me, doesn't work too well. I'm not really a Malmsteen fan, but Yngwie's vibrato is very good, and the guy plays with some serious fire, however much I dislike his style overall.

Rusty Cooley is probably the fastest I've heard - whether or not you like his music is of course up to you, but for sheer technique, I just refuse to admit the man's human - it's the only way I can not feel so inferior I have to quit.

That's not musical at all. At that speed the guitar looses it's intended purpose. There is no feeling. It's lifeless.

a dude i met on the net that goes by the name "neo"... I recorded this over yahoo messenger 3 or 4 years ago.. somehow it got around i guess and someone posted it on soundclick.. no idea whos account this.. but listen, no tricks... vamp2 - fender hm strat. dude is from texas.

* sigh * There is always some guy complaining. I told you: don't click if you are looking for melody.. besides, i think it has great melodic/ structural content, just like the fast passages of Chopin.

3:55-4:10 thats like 3x faster than anything Mills played...looks like he was clearly breaking 27+nps...

hard to tell if its real with such crappy audio/video, but if he really is hitting 40nps thats gotta be some kind of record because it sounds a lot faster than anything Jeremy Barnes was playing, even when he was claiming 45nps..
