First music video by my band!

So as not to drag this out too much, here's the skinny:

My band's CD release show was in late July, a close friend of mine filmed it in HD and recently got the footage to me. I took the footage for one song (so far, I plan on doing more) and sync'd it as best I could to our CD audio from our release (which the venerable Bob Oakman mixed, btw ).

There's a lot of fades in/out and some goofy effects here and there, that was more by necessity than choice as the footage wasn't consistant in many places, but I lined it up as best I could. For the most part that only involved slowing the video down about 10bpm.

Hey Jeffery,

Thought it was great song and sound... the video is not bad either! hope it goes well for you! The only advice I can think of is to try recruit a few more camera men next time... and bump up the lights at the gig... you can always darken it in editing later.. very cool!

Yeah, I'd have loved to have another camera out there and more lights on stage, but ya gotta work with what you have.

Next time we'll have a better idea of what we're going for!

I don't have any more songs yet but am working on two more right now. It's just a REALLY time consuming endeavor and between rehearsal and my job, I only have two good days a week to work on it. So I'm going as fast as I can!

That video stuff is more complicated when actually doing it. I filmed my first video last year, hadn't released it yet tho...takes sevreal tries to get the lighting right.

The live video is cool, the lighting wasn't too bad for me, but I did get
dored with watching from the same angle, if I'm at the show I' d wanna be in front of the guitar player, but differnt angles keeps the viewer waiting for whats next.

Alot of the people who saw my video never really listened to the song, hehe
I asked them about the song and they didn't have a comment for it.

I had to do the negative thing because it was pitch black in those spots, the negative thingy was the only way to make anything visible.

Hopefully I can figure a way around it later for different tunes.
