Judging from what I heard I can definitely say your a Vai fan.
Great songs though! It might be my crappy computer speakers (or my own personal taste) but the mix seemed off to me on both of your original songs. For me the drums sounded up front and in your face competing with the lead guitar, and the bass sounded a somewhat distant. Like I said it could be an issue on my end, or maybe that was what you intended.
