Hot for Teacher video
Hi There,
I play a version of Hot for Teacher that as Kennydoe mentioned is incorrect in nearly all ways. Sorry about the poor sound quality from my digital camera but here's a vid of a DY getting some EVH style treatment.

Re: Hot for Teacher video
hmmmmm
with the fear of being overly negative...
The tapping figure you're doing isn't quite right....it's more of an up & down thing - it's not all down like you're playing it. All the notes are right, just not in the right order. maybe slow the recording down and take a listen.
Once you got into the song part, it was too slow and again, the rhythm wasn't quite right.
The tone is very grating too - less gain/presence and more bottom. This could have just been the mic you were using, though.
I don't mean to be overly critical...i just figured that might be what you were looking for by posting yourself on the web.

Re: Hot for Teacher video
Here's a tab i found:
Intro:
A string: -0-3-7-12-7-3- (four x) -0-5-9-12-9-5- (four x)
- play the indicated patterns tapping on the A string: use the 1st
and 4th fingers for the notes on frets 3 & 7 and 5 & 9 and tap the
note on the 12th fret with the right hand finger....
Play same exact pattern as before on the D string but end with the tapped note
(youll have to listen to it to get the jist...)
G str: -0-3-7-12-7-3-0-3-7-12-7-3-0-5-9-12-9-5-0-5-9-12-9-5- (two times but
end with the last tapped note --------------------^
- again, tap the notes on the 12th fret..
high E -12-7-12-8-7-12-5-
B: -12-8-7-5-
G: -12-8-7-5-
D: -12-8-7-5-
A: -12-8-7-5-
this lick is a fretboard pattern that is the same on each string down the
neck.. tap the notes on the 12th fret and pull off the rest.. work your way
from the high E string down to the A string..

.....well, uhm, no. Not realy Kenny. This is the section of jemsite for posting up bits of multimedia, so I did just that and posted up some multimedia.
Thanks for your input though, it's been noted and I've edited the title post to perhaps make you feel more comfortable.

Re: Hot for Teacher video
Well you got me wanting to learn this, I forgot about this song. You know the intro to mean streets? If you do post a video. Good job dude, I liked it. Your gonna get critize in any kind of art, so dont take it hard. Some of the musicians on here are very dedicated to perfection. If I posted my version of blue powder, I would probably quit playin after all the comments I would get.

Hey, thanks for the vote of confidence man! I'm not into all that long and drawn out trudging through tab. I just listen to a song I like a couple of times and play along. I understand some people are gonna be touchy about you doing representations of great works but if I thought the Mona Lisa looked cool with a moustache then I'd break out of the box and paint her that way.

Re: Hot for Teacher video
The accuracy may have been off for that song, but that was still some cool playing.I started playing years ago,but havent had the chance to put in the required hours,so i still suck!!!! However,i will never quit coz i love the guitar with a passion, everyone has there own level of ability/experience.I enjoyed the clip too.
