How about this

Listening to all the tunes of which i am very impressed with most of them,
how about this idea

I would like to have them submitted, voted upon, maybe professionaly mixed, burned on a CD and sold for cost?

Any input on this?

Peter

I think something like that might be cool to do, then offer them as prizes at Jemfest.

Thought about it and i don't think its too hard

have a deadline for submissions
all songs not longer than xxx minutes
i upload them somewhere and create a polling system
have a deadline for polling submissions
the first 15 chosen songs will make it on the cd depending on space (maybe just 14 or maybe 16)

Other ideas welcome

Good idea, I think that's great. Get some songs start a poll and make the CD, let's get started!

Re: How about this

Decide upon a voting scheme, i.e. People each get 5 votes, rather than just one.

Also, you have to decide what the limit on "sonic quality" is. There was a jemsite project some time ago, as far as I know, and one of the major issues was the fact that the recordings were inconsistent, in terms of quality.

Re: How about this

I thought a little more

I will be presenting some server space in the near future ,if there is an interest, where people will be able to upload the files. Than generate a list with every track and artist on it to download.

I am not sure yet as of how to receive the votes without people voting times, and also it should be only open to registered jemsite members.

Ibateur, valid and good points.
