well to be fair to gary moore personaly i dont know the guy.its just tales ive heard about him been a ass and bad attitude.yeah you could be correct about him just joking on.speak as you find as they say

Ha, I know this isn't really what this thread was about, but, were you in Bournemouth when he was supporting BB King? That's exactly what happened when I saw him there, maybe some wag did it deliberately knowing what had happened before? ...

I watched the StratPack concert on the telly recently, Gary was performing and I actually rewound it to show the wife what I consider to be the finest examples of the "Guitar Gurn"

In fairness, If I'd had Peter Green's Les Paul and had to sell it, I'd be miserable...

if that's the case i'd say you're not half bad. i just really wish the shred parts had more "direction" to them. the slower parts seemed to work and then the fast parts came out of nowhere... maybe that's just how he was feelin', though.

Like people make these sorts of comments with such commitment and 'authority', as if their opinion is really important to us, or worse still you people sound like examiners, how they comment on the mark sheet

"he barely knows what he's doing", that's like saying Stephen King barely can write a novel!!! And yes, MattyG I'm with you on your observations. Gary Moore drips with talent when it comes with playing the guitar, he's old now and can't do a 10 second 100 notes harmonic minor run, but I get more chills when he holds a note and sends it up and down your spine!!

We're all are examiners of our lives like we choose who is and who isn't our friend,we choose our houses,cars,girfriends,the color of our houses walls etc.
Why can't we choose wich music(or player) we like or dislike ?
I mean if I like this or that player I will say it and if I dislike this or that player I'll say it too!
What's the problem about judging what we think it's good or bad for our lives?
For our ears?
It's even worse when I read somebody saying = hey you can't play half good as him!
SO do I have to play with the same technique as any guitarist to judge if I like his music or not?

I see so I'm with you Matt but you can't see their faces so how could you be so sure that they are being arrogants?
I mean english isn't my first language so probably those phrases to you sound arrogant,to me they sound...I don't know maybe....normal.
To me when someone is judging a player he's probably comparing him with another one they like more ,like if I'm judging a Satch song I'd probably compare it with a Vai song whatever,I don't think they're comparing this or that player with themselves.
