I don't mean anyone in particular mate, but certainly not you
Just the general vibe across the net is one of arrogance, ignorance, one-upmanship, close mindedness etc, etc.

Oh well

To play with feeling you need to bend and use vibrato like Marty.

I always thought alot of the "feeling" was in how you sold the note.

Any body with me on this?
Yep, completely agree. Most people do not give such an authoritative opinion in person, it's because they're behind a computer and "safe." With people on the internet there is no middle ground, it's either **** or amazing, and thats because in their thoughts they're like "oh it's the internet, it's not serious, you can't take this serious, I can act however I want on the internet because it's not serious." That person is also known as a jackass.
They do no understand or facilitate the idea that people reading their comments are people just like them and it IS real life. They cannot grasp the idea that what they're typing is read by people just like how if they said something out loud someone would hear it.

On topic:
Playing with feeling has been embedded into many of our brains as playing at 80 bpm going over the major/minor pentatonic with lots of bends. Get over it!!!! Feeling depends on the player and the person listening and is completely subjective.

Re: How to Play with FEELING!!

Steve Vai once said that Gary Moore was the only soloist he'd ever heard who had so much emotionaly content in his playing that when Vai say Moore perform live.. Vai said he wept..
Gary was a HUGE influence on me.. especially his vibrato and control.. if you can dig up a vid of his live version of Parisienne Walkways with Phil Lynott.. THAT'S the stuff.
