I got an idea, EVERYONE participate

Wasn't sure where to post this....

I've been trying to think of something we could all participate in. I had the idea of all of us trying to cover the same tune that wasn't originally an instrumental. But I think I like this idea better, because it doesn't rely solely on guitar playing ability.

Let's have a little fun here. I think most of us have at least some recording capability on our computers. Lets all make our own 15 minimum to 30 max sec Jemsite Commercial. Could be either Video or audio. I'll be happy to host anything under 5 megs. Let's give ourselves a week to see what we can come up with. Already I can envision alot of great fun here. Quirky, shreddy, goofy, animated or whatever. I know there are some guys here that will probably kill the rest of us in quality, and that's cool. I think all levels of playing ability and production ability should participate.

Maybe Glen can offer up a Jemsite shirt for the one he likes best.

Ok guys... and gals. What do ya say?

Well heres an idea.
Some members can post a video of them saying each letter of Jemsite, and then someone can produce it so that one person is saying a letter, and then another person is saying another letter, and then another person is saying another letter etc. Then we can have members posting a little shred on their jem, and you can show each person doing a 3 second shred and at the end put the Jemsite logo.

not everyone making the same commercial... make your own. as if you were hired to make a radio or tv commercial promoting Jemsite.

I can work in After Effects for motion graphics... I can work on a 15 sec animated Jemsite logo if that supports the cause
I don't have a video camera to capture people and their instruments... well my digicam has a video function but it's not the best quality...

... given, i think assets should be shared for this project, along with a hi-q/vector logo that Glen can provide... I have a Jem Vine and Ibanez universe logo if anyone's interested to use 'em for their commercial thingy.

quick idea the minute I posted this: if I had a video camera, ask a few female friends to do some video shooting with a Jemsiter's ax... hmmm this could be interesting!

ahhh, uploading my vid now. should be mere minutes. I did alot of copy/paste/crop with jemsite screen shots. I had alot more ideas. I'm just not all that talented with a computer. But I made my own little song that I hope fits the site ok. It's probably not shreddy enough, but it was still 2 hours of fun.
