Ibanez + Marshall AVT clips anyone?

Does anyone have any sound clips of the Marshall Avt (prefferrably the 50 watt avt50) with an ibanez (prefferably an rg2550/2570 or an RGA) plugged through it? Im getting this amp very soon and i want to know how Ibanez guitars sound through it because a prestige is probably my next purchase

Thanks anyways

man if i have any advice for you it is to NOT BUY THIS AMP , i had the 100 watter version of it for one day and brought it back the following day there is way too much low end off it which means to get a near decent sound you need to crank the prescence ,and treble while leaving bass and mids downwith the scoop button on and it still sounds terrible dont fall for the trap just because its a "marshall" i wash thoroughly dissapointed you need to spend at least an hour trying this amp in the shop so you can hear it properly youll realise at low and high volumes its way too bassy and thin at the same time

Re: Ibanez + Marshall AVT clips anyone?

I have to agree although I've recommended this amp before. In my opinion this is a good bedroom/practice amp. It doesn't suck but I can't seem to get much in the way of natural sustain out of my AVT50. It does sound a bit thin and boxed-in as well. Maybe the closed cab has something to do with it. I'm a Marshall fan but I think one needs to shop above the AVT series and spend some $$$$ to get a nice sounding one.

I've had my AVT50 for almost two months now and it turns out that I'm going amp shopping today and selling my Marshall. To answer your question more specifically - I play my JEM7vwh and my Strat (HH) through it and both guitars sound too thin with none of the natural feedback or sustain that I crave. I can't say I've never gotten some usable tones from the amp but it's not versatile enough for my needs.

Don't let it get you down if you've already commited to the amp. It doesn't suck as I said, just don't expect it to sound like a huge singing stack. It does get better at higher volumes but it's still not quite there for me.

Ok thank you for the advice. I still didnt order it so this didnt come too late. Although i dont really have many other alternatives. Im on a budget, and can only get a Marshall or Fender amp. No used amps here either. It was between this and the Hot Rod Deluxe fender but the advice i got was that the Marshall was better for prog and rock
