Finally finished customizing one of my RG's, take a look. The custom marble swirl pickguard and matching truss rod cover just came in yesterday. I installed a Dimarzio PAF PRO in the neck and a Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge. There is no middle p-up, I couldn't get the pickguard as a H/H for some reason. So, I stuffed the middle single coil spot with a tissue and covered the back side of the middle coil spot with electrical tape(2 pieces so the one side isn't sticky if you touch it.) I didn't want there to be an empty open hole, so that worked and looks good. I also installed a 3-way CRL switch, I just need a black tip for it. I'll post some clips when I get to it.

Yes, I picked up a brand new RG3EX1 (I think that's the model) on labor day for dirt cheap. I really like the neck and finish on it. I haven't gotten around to changing the pickups or hardware yet. It has Ibanez EMG's in it that aren't that bad, but I don't really like EMG's. The tuners are alright, but I'll probably get chrome Dimarzio's and chrome hardware (knobs, tuners, pickup rings) for that guitar.

but if I were you, I would worry more about claning my fretboard and polishing my frets !
its worth a ton of custom features on its own !

I had the strings off last night when I was assembling the pickguard and putting it on. I planned to clean the fretboard and was so wrapped up in getting that pickguard on and retune and setup the trem that I forgot to clean the fretboard!

I'm looking for parts or a full guitar for another project guitar... I'll post pics of that too once I get everything I need and start.

You can get the p-ups swirled? I didn't know that. I might get pickup covers, the black Dimarzio's look fine, but maybe white will stand out a little more. Or, if I can get them swirled, that'd be awesome.
