I like this one a lot more personally. The wear on it is much more subtle and it really has the
vintage Strat
vibe.

+1 If it's natural, yeah, that's ok, but I'm not into style over substance either. It's like it's a "poser" guitar. Nothing personal, no offence, and you seem to do a decent job of it, but it's all just personal taste.

Re: If at first you dont succeed try try again (Comments Wanted)
I'm of the opinion that you try and keep your guitar new for as long as humanly possible. Now, that said, it's next to impossible if you've ever played out, or handed your guitar to someone else. You're going to acquire dings and dents, and you can tell a story of each one on any given guitar you own.
My other thought is this, how is the guitar going to look after it's actually played for 10-15 years?I would be concerned that you shorten the life expectancy by a discernable amount.
All that said, it looks like it sat in a basement for a while after being played hard...for 20 years. My 40+ year old Epiphone 12 string has less damage.
I get it, but I don't get it, if that makes sense, maybe saying it's not my thing. otherwise it looks aged, thats for sure.

i think anyone can do it so long as they can pick the thing up! doing it well would be hard though!
ibanez collector seems to have gotten the hang of it though!
i really dig this one, the finish just looks a little too white for me. maybe bury it for a day or 2?

It looks relic'd and better than the black one. Though some part of me wants to squirt fantastic (the cleaner) on it.

Re: If at first you dont succeed try try again (Comments Wanted)
It's a cigarette burn. From sticking your cig in ther and letting it burn down accidently. It happens when you get so caught up in jamming you forget to take another toke off your cig. It then burns your guitar. I hate when that happens.
Was it a menthol? If it was, does it smell minty?
I use Marlboro Reds to burn my guitars, accidently of course.
