Horrible? In a way, certainly a reverse lottery to have an incurable debilitating disease. But how many people in their lives will ever inspire anyone? Yet he is and has inspired many. And what is better than that?

And some would say horrible, but he doesn't seem to be saying or acting like it is that for him so maybe we all have something to learn here.

You gotta respect that kind of perserverence. Even though he was paralyzed, he composed with just his eye movements. The sheer skill for that is mind blowing to me - to be able to take something as complicated as an idea for an orchestrated piece and put it down piece by piece is amazing.

You missed the bus bro. HE doesn't think of himself as dead. He can still write his music which is what his love is so that makes him very much alive. And the writing as we all know, is the hard part; there are plenty of competent guitarists that could perform his music since he can't.

People like us tend to look at him and see the glass as half empty since he can't actually play any longer but he seems to see it as half full and for that, he has my respect and I salute him.
