John Petrucci- Purple Rain.. Help!!

I found this mp3 years ago and when i got it it was titled john petrucci but i have never found an official recording, tab, video or anything. so the other day i put it up on youtube but was taken down due to copyright stuff. and after listening to this track for years and petrucci for even longer i can not come up with any other artist that it could be. i was simply trying to share this track with all other music/petrucci/guitar lovers because nobody seems to of ever heard this recording.

now their is a video or petrucci doing this same cover on google video

it was posted back in 2006 and has never been removed.

but the recording i have is much much better but it is spot on with what the mp3 i have sounds like so my question is... does anyone know why mine may have been removed???

also if you know that it was put on a cd or official recording could you please tell me the name?

also i do have the link to the mp3 for download but i dont want to cause a problem. so if i need to remove it i understand.

Not only Petrucci,It has several players.
It's from a cd with guitarists I don't remember its name.
There are other covers and if I can remember Something In the way is one of them.

i know the one that you are referring to but this is not that track. the entire track is played by 1 guitarist.

glad to know that someone has heard it before..

and if it is petrucci playing then he should have put it on one of his solo cd's, if he could have gotten the rights.


it also shows that petrucci has tons of feeling in his playing just like in the comfortably numb solo. imo

It's an idiot.
Even if I didn't like dream theater or petrucci songs still his an AMAZING player.

To me all others are between them in some level.These 4 dudes in their moments united all what was happening about guitar and came up with something better or at least different and very personal.

not the mp3 in my post but that cd does and they are 2 totally different tracks. and the mp3 that i have was done with his own backing track that you can hear in his namm video also.
