John Petrucci solo
I just watched this video and thought of sharing it with you guys. A great solo and performence. I truly shows the greatness of John imo.

Re: John Petrucci solo
I just can't watch those "funny" videos anymore. The ones of John
petrucci
& Yngwie Malmsteen have been posted so much...
They're great, but only the first 50 times or so.

That's when John was playing with the right guitar! I love that early stuff more than what he is doing nowadays.

For me it's the other way around. Regarding the guitar and the music.

Re: John Petrucci solo
Great playing, but if I was at that concert during that I would have either fallen to sleep or taken a restroom break. That was incredibly boring.

Good to see I'm not alone! Everyone always heralds "Scenes from a Memory" and all this relatively newer stuff as being the best. It's not bad at all, but I agree that the earlier stuff was their golden age. Their songs were overall more akin to Rush, Yes, Genesis, etc.., albeit heavier. The big, spacey keyboard sounds and textures of Moore were more fitting to the songs than Rudess's lightning fast abilities too, IMO. It's like they have these big fast, practiced solo sections now for the sake of it, rather than jams like this. But I guess it's all opinion. Dream Theater is still one of my favorite bands.
Thanks for posting this OP! I haven't watched this DVD in a long time.
