Johnny Hiland - WOW

I'd always heard of Mr. Hiland and thought of him as strictly a country player. But this guy can shred, and shred tastefully as well! Watch it when he gets to 1:50! Reminds me of Shawn Lane in a way. And he's blind on top of it!

Hey you should check out the review of his new signature PRS...Oh my what a guitar. UK Guitarist magazine, though.

Edit: Would've loved to see some of those behind-the-neck licks...he 's cool.

If anybody's worried about their 'sausage fingers' hindering their playing I give you Johnny Hiland!

yep johnny is a hell of a player, i can say i really love that prs . they make beautiful guitars but i just can't get into the way they play.

I dunno if the Youtube thing is the same, but the demo of his guitar on the PRS website is just ..... y'know ...... frightening!

Some nice playing but I hate those pickups, apart from the clean sound on the neck.

Truly amazing player, yeah, been into his stuff for quite a while now. And his PRS model is absolutely stunning. Johnny has some serious chops thats for sure. And he doesn't get enough recognition. As that video proved too, he is comfortable playing a wide array of styles.
