Just an awesome picture I took today.. At least I think so..
Took a few pics of the relic strat today in sunlight.. Only thing left to do is wait for my authentic parts. I got the fender old style saddles, and old style tuners coming as well as new Logo for it..
I think this picture is bad ass..
Anyways here is the pic..

sounds ok.. Stock pickups suck..
Plays like a champ.. I am in love with the playability of it..
I need to do research on pickups.. I have never EVER bought single coil pickups..
I am thinking probably the new Noiseless Fenders. I hate 60 cycle hum LOL

I have heard good things about GFS strat pups but yet to try them. I recently pulled a jackson single coil out of my old charvel and stuck it in the bridge of my
strat sound
pretty good.

Re: Just an awesome picture I took today.. At least I think so..
I don't get it.
I mean to me, it'd be cooler if you actually did that while on the road or inhereted it from someone who used it for years.
I'm not bashing, it looks worn, but I guess I just like my guitars as nice as I can keep them, for as long as I can. They'll get dings no matter what.
That said, nice job relic'ing.
it's just not for me.

Bamm,
I know alot dont get it, I love the look of it but I dont play enough to relic anything..
Also I have $45 into it, and the whole intention was to try to see if I could do a relic..
Its become my favorite guitar playability wise, but I need new pickups something fierce.

Let me know if you want some ideas on pups. I have
Custom Shop
69s in one strat, Custom Shop 54s going in another and CS 68' in the Jimistrat. I read nice things about the Fender noiseless, but never heard them myself.

Re: Just an awesome picture I took today.. At least I think so..
I heard great things about Dimarzio Virtual Vintage 2.1 and 2.2s and Suhr VL60s (?), though I am not sure if the Suhrs are noiseless (there is a noiseless system available from Suhr, but it's going to cost you 5 times the price of the guitar...)
