Hey all...
a while back i had to make a tough decision about whether to get a
les paul custom or a new pc, i chose the pc.
here is what i got
Intel Core Duo 2 E6600 2.4ghz
Asus P5w DH Deluxe
ThermalTake ToughPower 750watt Powersupply (Silent)
Ati Radeon x1900xt - Ok ok..i might play a game on it...
4gb Corsair DDR2 Ram
4x 320gb SATAII Hdd`s, 1x200gb (1.5 TerraBytes Total)
Pioneer 16x DVD Burner
2x 19" LCD Monitors...no hum...weeeee!
New Atx Case ..
This PC is absolutley SILENT, you cant even hear it idle, its amazing.
I also had to buy a new soundcard because i am running a mix of Winxp and Win XP X64 edition. Win64 has a few tricks up its sleve let me tell you...its disk access and ram access is stupid fast....like WOW fast.
Anyways the soundcard i Chose is an M-Audio 2496, only has 2 ins but that is all i use, Guitar and Bass...Guitar from PODXT Live and Bass From Vamp Pro (SPDIF).
With this configuration and setup i achieve 0ms latency with FL Studio, which is in otherwords real time recording, going back to 2ms now feels like a delay!
Anyways ill definatly be doing some recording now..
