Personally, i don't think its melodic at all. You gotta learn how to speed down, and definitely watch your timing. Learn how to do a proper bend and vibrato rather than just bend and immediately go to another fast lick. Heavily repetitive.

There's more to it than speed.

Just choose the notes a bit better, then running scales.

You've got the fire, so well done!

Work on your bending and eveything's will be fine, I can't understand why people work on firework techniques and simply leave out simple technique such as bending and vibrato. And bending is the signature sound of the guitar. And learn new licks it's getting repetitive and boring. Other than that you're on your way.

Re: Leonidas - Shred impro!

Thank u very much all of u...
To be honest i dont like some of the vibratos on the video either...
Actually on the original video, the vibratos, bendings etc r way more stronger, wider and cleaner, but with the stupid youtube compresion sounds kinda poop-y (haha), so yeah you r right... Also the video is 1-1.5 months old, and since then am working on these techniques...
Thank u very much again!

P.s: This is one take only, am not the guy who does 30 takes and choose the best...

No man, that would be ridiculous...
Its not because the one take...
If you can bend right, you can bend right... Period!

Too many notes and no soul. Like others said, you need to slow down a wee bit. Think like a sax player. They have to breath which means they're not constantly pumping out a flurry of notes. Rests can be just as valid as notes. Try playing a single note for a whole measure and squeeze every bit of emotion that you can from that one note.

Why not? That's the beauty of recording, especially recording at home.

BTW, where did you get the backing track? Would you post a link please.
