That is gorgeous, but more of a 'checkerboard', not a puzzle. Or at least a very, very simple puzzle

Looks great but will you have trouble with the knobs the contours of the body look a little steep around the pot holes.

Why go to all the trouble though without making it with the long neck tenon?

Cedro Rosa (red cedar maybe) body and neck
Pau Ferro fretboard
blocks of Marfim and Pau Ferro. (top)
Real abalone shell block inlays.
