The damage is done but he still wants to release the fooking fury. Why is all the other content and lesson available on the tube?

Re: Malmsteen Pulls the Parody Vid from Youtube
I don't find those very funny...maybe the first 100 times we saw them. But they always seem to be after guys who are really talented(YJM, Vai, EVH, Petrucci). Someone feels the need to put down great guitarists like that, makes me wonder about the ego of the person making them.... Plenty of
Shawn Lane
vids on there too, I don't see anyone with a parody saying "I'm Fat". That would seriously suck too. Since when does someone's weight have anything to do with what they play?
Always important in these videos to replace the playing with some nonsense....actually makes a lot of sense to me.
Before you say "no sense of humor"...I found these funny myself at first, but after a while it gets old.
"Only the beautiful ones should be good" seems pretty shallow to me....but if folks care more about what type of pants the person is wearing rather than what is coming from their amp...then maybe they should reevaluate why they play.

You've got to be kidding..... So watching these videos like a 100 times (and who represents "we".... you?) was a choice and you enjoyed them at first.
But now you suddenly feel compelled to call the people who made them and who obviously "entertained" you the first few times , "shallow"? Hmmm....
Maybe you should look up the word "parody"..... before you call these videos "put downs"!
So, I'll say it now..... you really don't have sense of humor!

"We".....dude..wtf are you talkin' about? Other than saying many of us have seen them, I meant nothing else..... Reading it again...I don't see how you could see it the way you are. I don't speak for anyone but for myself......so go hump someone else's leg on that one aight.
A figure of speech.........I obviously havn't watched them 1000 times man..., Maybe I should have said "it was funny the first 100 times I saw it...." Loosen the colon a bit, calm down and don't get caught up in the minutia. I wouldn't go so far as to call that entertainment either.
How I see it is how I see it...
I don't think that some of them are meant for just harmless fun which some of them are and they are fun albiet a bit old(which is what I was trying to say).....I don't think it's cool sometimes...especially if it's meant to take focus away from their talent which IMO is what some of them are trying to do(that and seeing the pants, makeup, or how heavy someone is rather than the music is what I was saying was shallow, not someone for watching it). Now why, all things said set aside would someone do that? Think about it....
You don't know me fella....so don't make it personal about my sense of humor or anything else, you're talkin' out of your blow hole. Why my statements get your panties in a bunch I don't understand. I stand by what I said.
People talk a lot of smack on the web, but if it were in real life a person trying to impersonate someone like that saying some of the things that are said..it would be hurtful in some instances. If I see someone doing that, I'm gonna stand up and say somethin' about it.

Re: Malmsteen Pulls the Parody Vid from Youtube
Dude, these videos are g-a-yyyyy as hell. I never thought they were funny. If you did, then you probably participated in the Math Decathlon in High School and played with toy light sabers while waiting 2 hours in line for Star Wars Episode III.
What I find truly hilarious is all these people talking about Yngwie's "ego" without having ever met the dude. Yeah he was an jerk when he was younger, but he's not now. EVH is the biggest a*hole on planet earth and looks like Dr. Ruth now but for some strange reason no one ever parodies "You're a prick and you look like Kate Moss at 90."

+10000, great post Shred! I actually met Yngwie on the WTEAW tour....he was super nice. The only one I really though was funny was the Petrucci shredding so fast people's heads were exploding and building blowing up, that **** was funny....but the other portayals in that video I thought really sucked.
If you can really play, oh you must be saying..."look at me I'm amazing noobs". Maybe that's how it makes some people feel or something "shrugs"

Re: Malmsteen Pulls the Parody Vid from Youtube
The commentary is a little childish on the video but the way the guitar parts are dubbed is unique and funny. If you can't look at the tripleneck Vai vid and hear the sloppy playing while he makes his pucker face you take life wayyyy to seriously. You would think Yngwie would have thicker skin. You have to realize what you do regardless of your age at the time affects your life when your in the public eye. AKA drunken flight audio AKA violence towards women.

I think he did....hence the name of his album UTF, there was a whole article about what he said about it...he was pretty cool about it. Haven't seen that vai one. Still it's old.

Re: Malmsteen Pulls the Parody Vid from Youtube
^^^^ Dude you are the one taking issue here...... lighten up!
In your original post you stated you thought they were funny..... hence me saying "you enjoyed them and were entertained"!
Plus whether you watched them a few times or a hundred times (I'm not sure where you got the "1000" number) becomes pretty irrelevant when you attack the people making them by questioning if they have ego issues or calling something shallow. Again, you're the one who obviously took issue! DUH.....
You'd be right to say some are done poorly (as in "taste") but that's like any humor..... what appeals to some certainly won't to others. But like anything on the internet.... we all have the option to not view it's content or to simply shut it off if offended or bored. So yep.... you're entitled to your "opinion" no more or less than anyone else. But if you chose to state your opinion... you've opened the door for disagreement and a offer of counterpoint.
Anyway, I'll bet most performers would "get the joke" and see the humor even if it is based on more personal issues.
Oh.... BTW sorry to disappoint, but nothing regarding me is "in a bunch" and I'm quite "regular" also thank you!
Plus, what's this about humping your leg?....... wishful thinking on your behalf?
Now, please before you go on another needless rant.... You know, "unleashing the fockin fury", as Malmsteen would say, lighten up! So do you think your "sense of humor" is up for the task?

You just don't give up do you....has your ego been bruised or something?
...just an expression dude...you're taking that literally? That meant that "we" crap just didn't apply, it didn't mean what you were spinning it into or you just didn't read/interpret it right(uh that was your rant from nowhere). Get it? Loosen up yourself
You were owned....take it like a man
(please don't look something into this too).
Man I don't have a problem with you, and again you're getting caught up in some really small quibble like how many zeros there are. Taking things to(there's your chance man hehe) literally... Next thing you'd probably do is dissect my grammar. I stand by what I said.
The first thing I said is I didn't find them very funny. A few like the one I mentioned, but not if they're like what I stated before.
You seem to be arguing that if I don't find them ALL funny I don't have a sense of humor....oooook lol. Does that apply to BigShred too? We don't have a sense of humor? Or just me because you want to win a flame war?
If I don't find all of them funny, I must not have a sense of humor I guess. If that's the case...so be it... IDGAF. My reply to you said it all the first time....wtf are you talkin' about now?
Again, man I don't have a problem with you....
