MelodyMan's "skills"

Hey guys...I don't usually post my videos or anything, but I just threw this one on youtube and I thought after reading some of my posts some of you might like to see me play.

So this is just the outro solo to "Fade to Black"...overdone? Yeah, I know...oh well, what can you do?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrAKYBzY1Zk

Enjoy! And let me know what you think.

Thanks, Iba-girl! It is a great metallica song - one of their best if not THE best. And yeah - the RG is sexy, huh? It is such a joy to pick that lady up and play her everyday - she really sings!

Oh, and I hope you're not offended by my referring to my guitar as a female...

Re: MelodyMan's "skills"

I'm liking the skillzorz. And the tone!

What wah pedal are you using? I like the sound of it. Very thick.

Nice one, dude.

Re: MelodyMan's "skills"

Ha thanks, mylo! Likin' the tone, huh? I mean I like it too, but it IS coming out of an 8 year old Peavey Bandit 112 - that's right, folks - solidstate...haha. Hopefully I'll be able to get a tube amp real soon.

The wah I'm using is the Dunlop Crybaby 535q - I've had it forever, but it's remained very faithful. It has quite a wide range of tonal capabilities too with the "q" knob and everything.

Glad you liked it!

Re: MelodyMan's "skills"

I decided I would follow Darin's lead and kind of make this my vid/music thread. So instead of cluttering the forum with my sh*t, I'll just post something here when there's something new.

There are a few more guitar vids up...just fyi
