Re: Mr. Fastfingers Is Back With New Stuff
This is a lot better than the original Fastfinger lessons..... you'll have each mode pretty much laid out. The first two released now with the remaining ones to be released separately on March 6th, April 3rd, May 1st, June 5th, and July 3rd. I hope each one gets better as it goes along.
Anyway, it's a pretty cool way of having entertaining & interactive lessons.

+1, yeah, the guy who does these is a riot. Fun and educational. If all instruction was this good we would all be little FastFingers'.

Gilky, didn't you get those Intense rock DVDs with presents and cutting edge guitars?
I couldn't play, lagging a lot...

Re: Mr. Fastfingers Is Back With New Stuff
Nah, I don't own a single instructional DVD, which may go a long way in explaining why I still suck. I can actually play just about anything I hear and can get tabs for, but I'm terrible at figuring stuff out on my own, and don't have a clue what I'm doing from a theory standpoint. I've never had lessons, just learned a little from friends and the rest from tabs. I think tabs is the downfall of my playing because I have a very short attention span and suffer from the common American disease of needing "instant gratification". It is so much more fun to just learn how to play, say, an Yngwie tune, as opposed to actually learning what it is I am doing. One day soon I will start taking actual lessons. I am afraid I may already have too many bad habits. I was considering starting over on piano to learn theory as I have no bad habits having never played it. Perhaps once I have a better understanding of theory I could then translate it back onto the guitar. I am trying to force myself when I practice to not hit a single note unless I know it's name and why I am hitting it, but of course that only lasts a few minutes and then it is back to sweeping arpeggios and tapping mindlessly. I did buy a better new camera though

Re: Mr. Fastfingers Is Back With New Stuff
Good! I bet your wife is pleased with your short attention span.
The presents and cutting edge guitars made no sense if you've never seen the DVD.
Nice going with the camera.
