My 570 & me...A self portrait.
After listening to some old recordings of mine last night, I was inspired to take a photo, a self portrait of all things.
All the little snippets, dialogue in the rehearsal studio, one take-live recordings of the whole band rehearsing brought back a huge amount of memories.
It's been about 6 years since I've stepped out onto the stage with a full band. I kinda miss it. I kinda miss my old band. Great bunch of guys. I know we use to clash heads and nearly come to blows every now and then, but funnily enough after all these years I can only really remember the good times.
Anyway, I debated for a little while whether or not I should post this rather silly pic. Maybe it's the little bit of 80s-hairmetal-influenced-show-off-extrovert that is left in me that's allowing me to make a little bit of a fool of myself....But I reckon the pic shows off the quilt on the guitar nicely, so that's my justification for posting it up with it's own thread.
I've been through so much with this guitar. I've had alchohol sprayed on it, I've had it fall off it's strap during a gig (prior to getting the
dimarzio strap
-locks), gotten the obligatory 2 clear coat dings under the neck pickup area from the whammy bar smacking into the guitar during removal...
I hadn't played the 570 for about a year till I took this photo because I regularly play my
fixed bridge
421 nowadays instead, and after all this time the 570 still felt like home.
Check out the guitar! Don't mind the ugly dude holding it
Anyway, thanks for reading. I just needed to get that stuff off my chest.

Re: My 570 & me...
Since I'm not a big fan of man love, maybe we could get a different pic where we could see more of the guitar.
Although that would be a cool pic for an album cover.

I think it's a great picture! And saying like a straight up man, more than 2 meters long and occasional beard: you look mighty fine to me with the latino look going for ya!

Re: My 570 & me...
Hey, there's nothing wrong with both Wilch and the guitar pic.
Wilch, i see that you are a Sydneysider. You should pop in sometime and try out my 20th RG550.
