I have never seen/heard anyone who has Vai's tone, style, phrasing, LOOK, etc etc, down as well as you do...seriously, you could be the centerpiece of a Steve Vai tribute band. And I mean this as a compliment! I would give my right (and possibly left, as well, I have no designs on having kids) nut to be able to play JUST like him and build from there...it seems like you are getting this done with some fairly modest gear, too, right? What all are you playing through?

Man, that is incredible that you are able to get that sort of sound out of that gear...I play a JEM7DBK through a Fractal Audio AxeFX rig and you are blowing me out of the water...I should just send you my stuff...:P
