Tech question; why has she got an old
Floyd Rose
-type wood-screw looking post in there, rather than the hex-head Ibanez type?
(Can't see the bar-side one in the pic due to reptilian intervention, but I'm guessing it's the same type there, as well...)

Yeah, thats odd. Great guitar, though. And from what I can tell, it's an orignal JEM77FP.

No idea why that is!!!! :-o
Anyway, it's a 77FP from 1989 and the best guitar I've ever played. I had a 7VWH but wasn't happy with it so I sold it, coz the 77FP could beat it in any way :-)

A beauty, no doubts.
My first Ibanez was a 77FP... an '88 one. I ultimately traded it away when I became dedicated to the 7-string, but regreted that. Have more recently replaced it with a '91 specimen - and this also addressed the one difficulty that I had with the earlier version: the volume control was too close to the strings/pickup for my comfort, and I'd knock it quite often, and even ding it with the bar. In '91, they changed the spec and moved the volume away.
